It’s no secret that where you live can have a big impact on how much you enjoy life. This is especially true when it comes to senior living. Some people enjoy the mountains and all the outdoor activities they offer. Others prefer living by the water for its more relaxed pace. Some enjoy the solitude of the high desert.

However, if you’re someone who wants outdoor activities, culture and easy access to the water and places to get away from it all, you might want to retire to Cupertino. To show you why, here are some reasons to move to Cupertino along with a list of fun things to do.

Why Retire to Cupertino?

  • Hustle and bustle: While your working days may be behind you, Cupertino, and the whole of Silicon Valley, is an incubator for innovative technology. That means there’s a pervasive “can do” energy with optimistic people looking towards and influencing the future. It also means there’s sure to be something new and exciting going on.
  • Be neighbors with the great outdoors: The weather here is usually fair and sunny, so you can enjoy Cupertino’s numerous green spaces and nearby hiking trails practically all year round. Or head off to the expansive wilderness of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
  • Tantalizing food scene: Cupertino draws a diverse group of people from all over the world. That mix of cultures also means a diverse selection of amazing restaurants.
  • Balance of suburban and urban: The population of Cupertino is just under 60,000 and has several neighborhoods with tree-lined avenues and an eclectic downtown. Plus, you’re close to the larger Bay Area cities of San Jose and San Francisco.
  • Easy to navigate: There are plenty of ways to get around the Bay Area including highways and boulevards, or there are numerous bike routes and Bay Area Rapid Transit or BART.
