One of the most exciting aspects of living in a resident-owned community is the ability to help shape its future, to make decisions that have real impact, and to have your voice heard on issues that are important to you.

The Retirement Housing Corporation (RHC) is a California mutual benefit, non-profit corporation.  It is categorized as a Common Interest Development and Cooperative Housing Corporation, skilled in operating Continuing Care Retirement Communities, and licensed as a state provider. The RHC is owned by the 319 members of The Forum at Rancho San Antonio senior living community. It owns all of the buildings, improvements and facilities, including the Health Center.

The Forum’s RHC Board of Directors is composed of seven residents who serve staggered terms of three years. The RHC Board provides overall governance of The Forum in conjunction with the Executive Director and the management company, Life Care Services. The RHC Board is actively involved in all matters of oversight and policy-making, including finances. The RHC Board ensures The Forum is well-managed, but does not manage. This collaborative effort has led to many community additions, including more health and wellness services, a new lap pool and Fitness Center, and an expanded Library.

In addition to the RHC Board, you can serve on our Resident Council and participate in more than 20 special interest committees. If you like to be involved and help shape the future of the neighborhood you live in, you’ll love it here.
